Will you join me for a Balkan weekend? 🎶🤩

We’re just around the corner from our weekend workshop at Benslow Music (May 8th–10th), and I wanted to send one final invitation to those of you still perched on the fence! 🕊️🌿

This year, we are venturing off the beaten path to explore the "Spirit of Balkan Folk" through the music of Bosnia and Kosovo. It’s a repertoire filled with tunes that aren't often heard in Western circles, but which I promise will stay with you long after the event is over 🌍🎻

Is your instrument ready?

Whether you play a violin, a guitar, a mandolin, or even an oud, if you can carry a melody or hold down a rhythm, there is a chair with your name on it. We’ll be learning by ear to really capture the "sighs" and "shouts" of the music, with sheet music to help us along the way 🎼
