Those two days were dedicated to enjoying the magic of this country: nature, stunning scenery, mountains, and crystal-clear lakes.

The day started off with some seemingly characteristic public transport chaos. I missed the bus because it didn’t depart from where it was scheduled—they have three different bus stops in Bistrica, but they are all called the same!

However, when I managed to be by chance at the right stop around an hour later and entered the vehicle, the mood instantly shifted. It was a bit like entering another world: a smiling, welcoming driver, relaxed jazz music, and comfy seats—pure bliss.

Soon after departure, we even had some live singing. Although it came from a group of slightly drunk men heading off on a stag trip, they had great voices, and it turned out to be the best impromptu live music I encountered on my journey! 🎶✨

I will not write too much more, as mountain trekking is more of a calm, visual experience without words—unless disasters happen! As much as it is a feast for the eyes, one can soak up the beautiful energy of nature with all its magic and healing power—for me, it is one of the greatest inspirations for creativity and the ultimate antidote to anxieties.

The only annoyance were too many tourists with unsuitable shoes cluttering up the initial parts of the tracks. Let me share a selection of pictures and videos, from the sections beyond too many tourists, and with it a little of that healing, creativity, and magic atmosphere. 🌲Enjoy !💚

Plunging back down the mountain trails on both occasions, my trusty towel and swimsuit caused quite a stir of envy! Yes, I was well prepared to find a nice spot and dive straight into the crystal-clear waters of Lake Bohinj (Bohinj Jezero)—a wonderfully refreshing cool-down at the end of rather hot days. 🏊‍♀️💦🌲
