Take a little trip down memory lane with me to a time when East London was buzzing, the sun was (mostly) out, and the air was thick with the scent of street food and raw Balkan rhythms 🎻🏙️
This was recorded outdoors in Gillett Square during the Vortex Festival in 2014, over a decade ago 🤯 The Vortex Jazz Club has always been a proper cornerstone of the scene, but there’s something quite special about taking the music out of the club and onto the pavement for a bit of a public flutter.
Playing with Tatcho Drom that day, surrounded by the vibrant energy of the community, felt like pure, unadulterated magic. You can hear it in the arrangements: expressive, soulful, and just the right amount of wild 🎷🔥
So many wonderful memories!!!
