What an unexpected and incredible night at the Mamak Belediyesi Kültür Merkezi in Ankara!

I only learned around lunchtime that I would be performing two pieces with a student group. When I arrived, I found out I was a 'special guest' and needed to play some solos, too! I played, yeay! Completely under-dressed, but fueled by music 😅

It felt like the universe wanted to kick off the Balkan and Turkish tango project that I plan to develop starting in January!

This is 'Fanus' by Geleneksel, performed with a student's ensemble from Hacettepe University, led by Cenk Güray. Special shoutout to recorder soloist Jan Nigges!
