Djelem Djelem (I have been going, I have been going) is amongst Roma peple and Gypsy music lovers one of the top three kown and loved songs. It is a traditional melody, to which Žarko Jovanović wrote lyrics in 1949, after the Holocaust. Later, the song was declared as Romany anthem. Here in a simple version for 2 voices or 2 instruments, with lyrics and translation in the score.
I’m passionate about teaching music. I love to pass on my love for music, the fulfilment it brings to me, and how an instrument as companion for your life can really make a difference, no matter if as hobby or for more. I’m also dedicated to help my students to hop on that positive cycle of working hard and biting yourself through a difficulty, and as result experiencing that special joy once the skill is achieved and with it, playing will reach a new level of fun.
