Alunelul, or “Little Hazelnut” in Romanian, is a folk dance where you can hear the hazelnuts being “cracked” at the end of each section. 
 
This arrangement is in 3 different ascending keys, which can be performed faster each time.
 
This version is in bass clef for instruments such as cello, bassoon, baritone horn/tuba.
